Meditation & Mindfulness
The summer I turned 19 I read The Autobiography of a Yogi, by Paramahansa Yogananda. That book opened the door for me to a world that I didn’t know existed. He talked about a blissful state of inner peace, which he called samādhi. I wanted that! His Self-Realization Fellowship offered courses in meditation by mail. I sent away for my first lessons in meditation and began my journey toward silence.
I wrote a play about meditation called Silence.
The Open Road has a Meditation & Mindfulness Dialogue.
This is my version of the earliest Zen text, the Hsin Hsin Ming of Seng Ts’an.
