From the 2010 production of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” that I directed at Two Rivers prison. Aaron O’Hara is Bottom and James Stewart (Jasmine Marie Rose) is Titania. Bushra Azzouz made a feature-length documentary: A Midsummer Night’s Dream in Prison. The World Premiere of the film was on August 7th, 2022 at Cinema 21 in Portland, Oregon. The film went to ten festivals, including festivals in New York, Santa Fe, Barcelona & Beirut. It won the award for Best Documentary Feature at the Local Sightings Festival in Seattle. Actors from the play, who are out of prison now, attended eight of the festivals.
